YEREVAN. - Three Yazidi families who arrived in Armenia from the Iraqi town of Shangal last week, live under one roof and are in need of food, Boris Murazi, President of Sinjar Yezidi National Union NGO said today.

According to him, the families arrived without personal belongings. They know only their native and Arabic languages, and thus it’s difficult for them to find job in Armenia. The only thing left for them is cattle breeding and agriculture, Murazi said, urging to help the families.

He also said the families expect that Armenia’s Migration Service will give them the status of refugees, following which they will be able to get help from the UN.
