The Armenians that were killed in a traffic accident in Georgia had gone there for summer vacation.
Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned that those killed and injured in the accident are from Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.
Two of the dead were mother and daughter—Lilit Nersisyan, and Heghine Baghdasaryan.
Margarita Nersisyan, who also died in the crash, was Lilit’s sister, and her granddaughter, Margarita Sargsyan, was also with them.
We have learned that these family members were about to return to Armenia when they accidentally met with their neighbor Arshavir H., who is a taxi driver, and he said he would drive them back to Armenia. And Ruzanna H. is Arshavir’s wife.
We also learned that their car was parked, and Ruzanna wished to get off when the van had hit their automobile.
As a result, the Georgian driver also died.
As reported earlier, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia received information on Thursday at 7:58pm. Accordingly, a traffic accident had occurred in Georgia, and Armenian citizens were affected.
Contact was established with a member of staff of the Emergency Situations Department of Georgia. He informed that a car and a van had collided at 2:37pm, and there are four casualties and two injured who are Armenian citizens.
It was found out the said car belonged to Hovhannes Harutyunyan, 30, a resident of Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.
And at 11:26pm, the Emergency Situations Department of Georgia provided the data on the dead and the injured.
The casualties are Heghine Baghdasaryan, 16; Lilit Nersisyan, 40; Margarita Nersisyan, 57; and Arshavir Harutyunyan, 57.
The injured are Ruzanna Harutyunyan, 54; and Margarita Margaryan.
The injured are in critical condition.
