Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry accused UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Zeid Al-Hussein of making “ordered and biased” statements.

Commenting on the criticism voiced by the UN High Commissioner regarding crackdown on civil society in Azerbaijan, spokesperson for Armenian Foreign Ministry Hikmat Hajiyev recalled refugees and mass migration to Europe from the Middle East.

"At the same time, although hundreds of thousands of people fleeing their homes because conflicts and the related problem of mass migration call for collective responsibility as the biggest humanitarian problem faced by Europe after World War II, some human rights organizations seem to be silent and inactive,” he said, calling UN official's comments biased.
