Turkish nationalist youth threatened with a knife a group of young Armenians in Istanbul’s Kınalı Island, which is mainly populated by Armenians.

Istanbul Armenian Vartkes Hergel announced about the aforesaid on Facebook and Twitter, and called on Armenians and their friends to disseminate this information.

Hergel wrote that the said Turkish nationalist youth had taken out a knife against the Armenian youth without any reason. But the father of one of these young Armenians had come to the aid and called the police.

It is also noted that the police detained the Turkish nationalist who was threatening with a knife, and the situation had calmed down.

The threatened Armenian family living in Kınalı, however, left the island.
