EU must provide nearly €3 billion to Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon for solving the issue with migrants in their territory. President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz said the aforementioned at the press-conference in the follow-up to his speech at the emergency EU summit on migration.  

According to him, the problem can’t be solved if Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon don’t receive financial support necessary for satisfying the basic needs of migrants in their territory, TASS report.

Schulz also said that if the people aren’t provided wit everything necessary in those countries, they will take the dangerous path to Europe, hence EU must take a decision Wednesday on providing financial support to the aforementioned countries.
