The Armenian National Congress (ANC) regards as illegal RA President Serzh Sargsyan’s decree dissolving the fact-finding group for March 1-2 evens and urges the group to make a comprehensive report besides the ones dealing with individual episodes, ANC Coordinator Levon Zurabyan told a press conference today.

“The group is working and we will assist it with its work as it is the only legal and efficient body that demonstrated professionalism and is sure to do it future,” Zurabyan said.

As to the ad hoc parliamentary commission for the March 1-2 events, Zurabyan pointed out that the commission was aimed at concealing the crimes and “executing an order, namely, justifying the hundreds of cases of violation of human rights and democracy.”

According to Zurabyan, the Armenian authorities will fail the negotiations over Nagorno-Karabakh and normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations this autumn, which will serve as a prerequisite for rapid political developments.
