The criminal case against the journalist Rauf Mirkadyrov accused of high treason has been sent to the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, the lawyer Fuad Agayev said.

The accused and the defense have got acquainted with the materials of the case. According to the lawyer, the prosecution has no legal basis and Mirkadyrov totally rejects it, contact.az reported.

Prominent Azerbaijani journalist was arrested on the charges of espionage last April. He is accused of working with Armenia's special services. Prosecutor's Office claims he had met with the representatives of Armenian intelligence and carried out their instructions.
