The sides discussed friendly and partner relations between the countries and the issues of economic cooperation.
It was noted that Georgia, as a transit country, represents a bridge linking Europe with Asia. It was also noted that there is great potential in terms of tourism development.
The Presidents also drew attention to the importance of ensuring stability and peace in the region, Gruziya Online reported.
Giorgi Margvelashvili thanked the Armenian President for his visit to Georgia, and expressed hope that it contributes to the future cooperation between the countries.
At the end of the extended meeting, the presidents of Georgia and Armenia made a joint statement for the press.
