Only 4-5 scientists and journalists want the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation, the others oppose the process, Turkish politician, Istanbul university professor Behlul Ozkan told a press conference in Yerevan.

He stated that “landlocked, not having economic potential” 2.5 million populated Armenia is not a top priority for Turkey. “The country with 15% opened state border has no chances for economic development,” he said. Ozkan also stressed that Turkey is a priority for Armenia and Yerevan is much interested in establishing relations with Ankara. “Today Turkey is one of the rapidly developing countries in the world, it is NATO and G20 member. Naturally, Armenia must be interested in establishing ties with the country, as Turkey is a bridge between Armenia and Europe,” Ozkan concluded.
