Armenian boxer Karen Ayvazyan (51kg) won a gold medal in the Youth European Boxing Championships Szczecin (Poland). In the final Ayvazyan defeated Grigoriy Nikolaychuk (Russia) 7:1.
Ayvazyan’s medal is the only Armenian boxers gained in the championship. Armenian national team was represented by 8 boxers.
