German police have discovered a truck bomb disguised as an ambulance near football stadium in Hanover, “Dozhd” TV channel reports, citing DW Sport.

Head of Hannover police stated that the authorities cancelled the friendly between Germany and Holland having received “concrete information” on an explosion threat, Associated Press reports.

TUI-Arena stadium in Hanover was evacuated before the friendly between Germany and Holland.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and several German cabinet ministers were expected to attend the match. The game was cancelled over security concerns.
