YEREVAN. - Agitators against constitutional amendments are also violating the law, but hardly anyone wants to notice this. Armenia's Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am today.

To the question on whether the school headmasters aren't agitated in favor of the amendments, Ashotyan said that the Ministry of Education has only one confirmed case which happened in a college in Armenia's Garni town, where the headmaster was given a severe warning.

He also noted that the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) allows meetings with the voters in many schools, since in many villages school is the only place with more or less comfortable hall.

If someone notices agitation during study time, they can turn to the Municipality of Yerevan or district administrations (in case it's a secondary schools), as well as to the Ministry of Education (in case it's a college).

At the same time, Ashotyan asked to follow the violations of the “No” headquarters with the same consistency.

“Yesterday and today the activists of that group tried to carry out agitation in universities through disseminating materials. This is a rather reprehensible action. Please note such things as well,” Asotyan said.
