YEREVAN. – Armenia observes campaign silence on Saturday.
The campaign on the referendum on constitutional amendments ended at 12am.
All forms of respective campaigning are prohibited on this day.
The third constitutional referendum in the history of independent Armenia will be conducted on Sunday, from 8am to 8pm.
On that day, a total of 1,988 polling stations will be opened throughout the country.
There are 2,554,332 people on the eligible voters’ lists.
Under the law, constitutional referendum day is a non-working day in Armenia.
Pursuant to the proposed amendments, the country will make a transition from a semi-presidential to a parliamentary system of governance, and conduct completely proportional parliamentary elections.
