The arrests of opposition members continue in Azerbaijan.  

Mardan Mehti, the northern region coordinator of Azerbaijan's “Musavat” party, was called to the police station of Siazan region and arrested, haqqin.az reports. The call was related to the protests staged in the district center two days ago.

The head of “Musavat” party, Gulaga Aslanli, told Turan that the opposition member came to the police with his relative, who was soon told that Mardan was arrested. The reasons for the arrest weren't explained

Thus, the number of opposition members, arrested by the police in connection with the protests against price hike, reached ten. The total amount of arrestees exceeds 60.
