U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Swiss Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey discussed the tension in Armenia-Turkey relations, Phillip J. Crowley stated at a State Department briefing.

According to him, Clinton talked to Swiss Foreign Minister Calmy-Rey and expressed the strong gratitude of the American people for the ongoing Swiss efforts to release of Sarah Shourd and other American journalists. The officials also discussed other subjects, including tensions between Turkey and Armenia, Crowley stressed without disclosing details.
