Purchasing a cemetery space while alive has been banned in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan.
Vzglyad.az online newspaper reported the aforesaid citing chief engineer Sabir Hasanov of the Civil Services Center.
“If somebody wants to reserve a free [cemetery] space beside his [deceased] relatives, we take note of the request,” Hasanov said. “But the petitions for acquiring cemetery space while alive are not considered [any more].”
