UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon plans to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan and Armenia for the first time, as well as to Georgia for the second time, source in the UN Secretariat told TASS.

“I can’t name the precise dates, but the visit will take place soon after the ceremony on signing Paris Climate Change Agreement to be held at the UN on April 22,” the source said.

The Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General Stéphane Dujarric neither confirmed nor refuted the information on the coming visit. According to him, they will soon provide information on this.

On March 11, Georgian FM David Zalkaliani announced that Ban Ki-moon was going to pay an official visit to the country.  “Georgian MFA is working on preparing this visit.
