The official visit of the Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev to Russia will take place on the earlier scheduled day, April 7, following the PMs agreed visit to Azerbaijan on April 8. The meeting of the prime ministers of EAEU member-states will take place in Moscow instead of Yerevan, spokesperson for the Russian Government Natalya Timakova said, TASS reports.

“The phone conversation of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev with his Armenian counterpart Hovik Abarahamyan will soon take place. Considering the situation [in Nagorno-Karabakh], Dmitry Medvedev is expected to inform his counterpart of Russia’s readiness to agree with Kazakhstan’s proposal to hold the summit in Moscow next week,” Timakova said.  

The announcement on Medvedev’s visit to Yerevan was announced on March 24, before the escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
