YEREVAN. – The agreement on ceasefire reached on April 5 was generally observed at the line of contact of the Armed Forces of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and Azerbaijan last night, the NKR Defense Army reported. Armenian News - NEWS.am continues presenting the chronology of events.

• The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus has changed the wordings of the official position regarding the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.

• Senior representatives of the ANCA consulted at the State Department with Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, head of the Department's Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs. 

• The NKR MOD has publicized the photographs of the Azerbaijani soldiers who were killed while fleeing after barbaric actions toward not solely military servicemen, but also the civilians.

                      

• Head of Armenian Mission to the OSCE, Ambassador Arman Kirakosyan at the meeting of the Permanent Council in Vienna on April 5: The right of the NKR people for self-determination cannot be questioned.

• The Armenian government observed one minute's silence in memory of Karabakh army soldiers and civilians.

• The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan: The casualties of the Azerbaijani side were about ten times more than our casualties.  

• Seyran Ohanyan: There were evident war crimes, torture, decapitation, and unleashed actions from Azerbaijani side. http://news.am/eng/news/320829.html

• Seyran Ohanyan: Azerbaijan failed to achieve the slightest success in the strategic plan. Talish and Nor Seysulan are under the control of the  NKR defence army.

• Seyran Ohanyan: The cease-fire agreement was reached during the meeting of the army chiefs.  

• The Armenian MOD continues announcing names of the fallen soldiers. 

• The Federal Member for Bennelong, John Alexander: I deplore the recent acts of aggression committed by the Azerbaijan military against ethnic Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh. 

• Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Yerevan on April 21-22.  

• Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Shavarsh Kocharyan: It is necessary to return to the  1994-95 truce documents during  the negotiations. 

• Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev had a telephonic conversation and conferred on the Karabakh conflict.
