The Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Nikolay Bordyuzha will pay a working visit to Armenia on April 14-15, CSTO Spokesperson Vladimir Zaynetdinov said.
In the framework of his visit, Bordyuzha will meet with the President of Armenian and the National Security Council (NSC) Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian FM and Chairman of the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council Edward Nalbandian, as well as Defense Minister and Chairman of the CSTO Defense Ministers Council Seyran Ohanyan, TASS reports.
The CSTO Secretary General will inform of the process of preparing for the sessions of the organization’s statutory bodies - Foreign Ministers Council, Defense Ministers Council and Security Council Secretaries' Committee. The aforementioned sessions have been scheduled to take place in Yerevan in June-July.
Bordyuzha will also report on the current activities of the CSTO and carrying out of the Decision Implementation Plan of September and October sessions.
“The situation in the Caucasus, which dramatically escalated in early April, will also be discussed,” the statement says.
