YEREVAN. – The Ministries of Defense (MODs) of Armenia and Russia are actively working toward supplying to Yerevan the weaponry which is envisioned by the respective loan.
Koryun Nahapetyan, Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs, on Friday told the abovementioned to the reporters in Parliament.
He noted this reflecting on the course of the joint session—in capital city Yerevan—of the said committee, and the Russian Federation Council Committee on Defence and Security.
“Concrete work is underway, within the framework of the agreements reached, to purchase these arms,” Nahapetyan said. “Something has already been purchased, but it’s not supplied in full. Defense departments of the two countries are working actively, and I believe the supply problems will be solved in the near future.”
