YEREVAN. - Political consultations took place today between the American Department of the Armenian MFA and Latin American Department of the Russian MFA on the issues of cooperation with Latin American countries.

The sides highly appreciated the positive practice formed between the two countries with respect to holding Armenian-Russian consultations on Latin American cooperation.

The meeting addressed the cooperation of the sides with the countries of Latin American region and the existing problems. Apart from this, further steps on cooperation in the given sphere were identified.

Attention was attached to the confirmation of cooperation with Latin American states in the framework of the EAEU and the joint steps taken towards this.

By the end of the consultations, Armenian Deputy FM Ashot Hovakimian received Head of the Latin American Department at Russian MFA, Alexander Shchetinin.
