The official representative of the UN Secretary General Stéphane Dujarric stated that  representatives of 165 countries, including about 60 leaders of the states and the governments,  will participate in a ceremony of signing of the Paris agreement on climate change at the United Nations headquarters in New York, RIA Novosti reported.

He mentioned that this will became a record for a signing ceremony in one day.

According to Dujarric, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and French President Francois Hollande  will hold a joint press conference on the occasion of signing of the agreement.

In addition, UN Secretary General has planned a series of bilateral meetings with world leaders .

Representatives of 196 Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (195 countries and the European Union) concluded the first general obligatory agreement on climate in Paris in mid-December.

This document will determine volumes of emissions of greenhouse gases and a measure for prevention of climate changes after 2020.
