The IP terrorist group in Syria has perpetrated genocide and war crimes against the Kurdish nation and against the humanity, writes the report on Syria by the UN Independent Commission, reports RIA Novosti .

The report presented at the 32nd session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva by the UN Commission was made based on 45 interviews with people who survived, after they had been taken prisoners by the IS. Among them were religious leaders , activists, contraband traders , lawyers, journalists, and medical personnel .

The document says that the IS militants have exterminated Yezidis,  killed them, subjected them to sexual and ordinary slavery, tortured and forcibly displaced, thus causing them physical injuries and mental disorders. In addition, terrorists have created such conditions for the Yezidis under which they slowly died, could not give a birth, were forced to accept their religion , thus, destroying the Yezidi identity .

The public statements of the IS and the behavior of their militants have clearly showed that that the terrorist group has intended to destroy the Yezidis of Sinjar, who constitute the majority of the Yezidi population in the world . According to the UN Commission data there are approximately 3,200 Yezidi women and children captured by the IS. Women fall into sexual slavery, children whereas are used in the military operations. At the same time , there are thousands of Yezidi men and boys missing.

The Yezidi "genocide is ongoing" says the UN. The UN Commission called on the UN Security Council to submit the review of the situation in Syria to the International Criminal Court or to create a special court in accordance with geographical and temporal jurisdiction.
