It is already four months that there haven’t been conducted any investigation in regards to the Founding Parliament head Zhirayr Sefilyan, who in in detention, said Sefilyan 's lawyer Tigran Hayrapetyan to the NEWS.am.

"This case enters into a deadlock. According to the information I have, some of the people who testified against Sefilyan, refused to accept their  testimony. There is no evidence available against Sefilyan, but he is still in custody. Moreover, the case is combined with the Sasna Tserer case and has completely entered into a deadlock , "said the attorney.

As reported earlier, in February of 2015 five members of the Founding Parliament - Gevorg Safaryan , Zhirayr Sefilyan , Garegin Chugaszyan , Pavlik Manukyan,  and Varuzhan Avetisyan, have been  charged under articles 35-225 of the Criminal Code (organizing mass disorders). On that case the defendants were released on a signature bond.

Another criminal case was initiated in May , which charged Zhirayr Sefilyan and 8 people. Sefilyan is accused of organizing illicit arms trafficking by means of a group of people. In August those two cases were combined into the case of Sasna Tserer. Curently, Sefilyan is charged under articles 35-225 and 38-235 of the Criminal Code.
