A college student in Portland, in the US State of Oregon, has discovered a 1599 Bible showing “The Great Armenia,” in the basement of his school’s library.
A page of this Bible reads that it was imprinted in London, according to CBC News of Canada.
This edition of the Bible made the scriptures accessible through many elaborate woodcut illustrations. And one of them is a map of the ancient Middle East, showing “The Great Armenia,” “Mesopotamie,” “Babylone,” and “The Golphe of the Persian Sea.”
The Bible is in good condition.
Experts assume that this Bible belonged to Francis Fry, a 19th-century Bible collector in England.
