On October 19, RA President Serzh Sargsyan attended the launching ceremony of the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for Armenia’s energy system.

The RA presidential press office informed NEWS.am that RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan briefed the Armenian President on the new system’s potential, special programs of optimizing energy generation, etc..

The new system will enhance the efficiency of the Armenian energy system due to on-line data.

Japanese Ambassador to Armenia Masaharu Kohno, who attended the launching ceremony called the project one of the best examples of Armenian-Japanese cooperation. Japan is ready for further assistance to Armenia in economic development.
