President of Germany Christian Wulff touched upon closed Armenian-Turkish border speaking in the Turkish parliament.

In the course of his official visit to Turkey, Wulff noted that Germany is keeping track of Turkey’s initiatives aimed at settling relations with neighboring states, the Radikal newspaper reported.

As to Armenian-Turkish reconciliation, Germany is guided by a principle “Open borders, joint future, but without neglecting disputable issues”. Atmosphere created to this principle will become a good basis for ensuring stability in the region, he added.
