Researchers at the University of Seville, in Spain, have come to conclusion that the airbags in vehicles can save, but also cause damages to drivers and passengers during accidents, according to Mir 24 news agency of Russia.

Experts claim that, over the course of the past ten years, many Spaniards have lost their eyesight as a result of airbags’ opening in cars.

Short people are especially at risk, as they receive blows to their heads after a strong impact.

These airbags pose a danger also for people wearing glasses, since these glasses may break as a result of the opening of the airbags, and damage the eyes and skin of the driver.

Furthermore, the airbags in vehicles are processed with sodium azide, which is harmful to health.
