The UN Committee against Torture will consider the reports of Armenia and Turkmenistan during its subsequent session, which has kicked off in Geneva.

The countries – along with another six others – will report on the implementation of the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.

The session will last till December 7. The discussion of the reports by Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan will be held from November 21 to 22 and November 13 to 24 respectively.

The UN experts will also touch on the situation in Cape Verde, Monaco, Namibia, Finland, Sri Lanka and Ecuador.
