YEREVAN. – Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian on Saturday received Minister for Civil Aviation of India and Special Envoy of the Government of India, Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

Nalbandian noted that Armenia attaches great importance to the continued development of relations with India, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. The special envoy of the Indian government, for his part, stressed that his country underscores the further strengthening of friendly relations with Armenia.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors discussed the agenda of Armenian-Indian collaboration as well as regional and international matters. They also reflected on the need for intensifying bilateral cooperation in several.

In addition, the parties expressed satisfaction with their cooperation within the framework of international organizations.

The two ministers also reflected on cooperation in civil aviation, and the chances of resuming the flights between Yerevan and New Delhi.

Separately, the Armenian FM briefed the Indian official on the consequences of the military aggression which Azerbaijan had unleashed against Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), in early April, and the resultant situation in the respective negotiation process. Edward Nalbandian stressed that Armenia highly appreciates India’s continued support to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict’s settlement through peace talks.
