Researchers have found that rich people live longer than the poor.

And experts at the University of Tennessee, in the US, decided to check the accuracy of this data, reported informing.ru.

They conducted a research, during which the 50 US states were divided in accordance with the level of income of their population.

The experts analyzed the income of these residents, and compared them with demographic statistics, especially with the average life expectancy.

As a result, it was found out that people in the US die younger in the economically more disadvantaged states.

According to experts, in some cases the difference between the life expectancy America’s rich and poor reaches 10 years.

They also noted that the average annual income in the richest states was almost $90,000, whereas this was $24,200 in the poorest US states.
