On October 26, Levon Aronian overpassed World Champion Anand Viswanathan with his current FIDE rating and is now the second among the strongest chess players of the world.

These days Anand and Magnus Carlsen are playing in the tournament, being held in Nanjing, China, and their current ratings can change to both up and down directions. FIDE will publish its official (not current) rating list on November 1, 2010.
