China became the third country to conduct a test flight of a hydrogen-powered aircraft, according to RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

The plane was developed on the basis of China’s RX1E two-seat electric aircraft.

During the test flight the airplane reached an altitude of up to 320 meters.

This aircraft is powered by a 20-kilowatt hydrogen fuel cell.

Prior to this test flight in China, similar airplanes were tested solely in the US and Germany.
