Attackers of mosque in Quebec are supposedly students from the local university, Alexandr Bissonnet Mohammed Khadir, reports CBC News.
The police still refuse to provide official information about the attackers. According to the police, they arrested men aged 20-30, almost immediately after the attack. The reasons for the attack are not known yet. According Reuters, one of the arrested is a French Canadian, whereas the second is a Moroccan. The police are certain that they both acted together and had no accomplices.
Note, that the mosque attack took place on the night of January 30, during the evening prayer in the mosque, when there were 40-100 people. The armed attackers killed 6 and injured 8 people. The authorities described the incident as a terrorist act.
