In the course of Nov. 5 meeting with Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, Vahid Jalalzadeh, Governor of West Azerbaijan province of Iran, expressed gratitude to the Armenian Apostolic Church for its criticism over burning of Quran in U.S.

The delegation headed by Vahid Jalalzadeh was accompanied by Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Seyed Ali Saqqaiyan and Armavir region governor Ashot Kaghramanyan.

In his turn Karekin II expressed gratitude to the Iranian authorities for their assistance to the Armenian community. He also touched upon cases of burning Quran in U.S., noting that the Armenian Apostolic Church considers unacceptable any infringement on objects of worship.

The Iranian delegation also visited the museum of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
