Blogger from the State of Maryland, Webster Tarpley, 71, agreed to apologize to the Trump family and pay Melania Trump a “substantial sum,” for rumors that she worked as an escort, Washington Post reported quoting Melania’s attorneys.

According to the newspaper, Tarpley’s article consisted of unreasonable rumors that, Melania Trump once worked as a high-end escort, as well as that Trump may have suffered a nervous breakdown after her speech at the Republican National Convention.

 “I posted an article on August 2, 2016 about Melania Trump that was replete with false and defamatory statements about her,” the blogger said in a statement provided by Trump’s attorneys.

Tarpley has not commented on this information yet. His attorneys confirmed the settlement of the claim. The amount that the blogger will pay, is not reported.
