The mandate of Staffan de Mistura as a UN special envoy has been extended for another 6 months, reports RIA Novosti, referring to other sources.
"His contract has been extended for another six months," said the source, that is close to the office of de Mistura, adding that de Mistura must report about the outcomes of Geneva-5 report to the UN Security Council.
