The names of those affected by the tragic road accident, which occurred early Saturday morning nearby Malishka village in Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia, have become known.

It was found out that a car—with driver Arman Օ., 35—and a minivan—with driver Vigen S., 30—collided on the Yerevan-Meghri motorway, informed the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

As a result, the car’s passenger Aruhi H., 58, died on the spot, whereas another passenger, Karine P., 36, lost her live at Yeghegnadzor town hospital.

Rescuers carried the car’s driver to a waiting ambulance. He and passenger M. O., 8, were rushed to Vayk town hospital.

The minivan’s driver and Iranian citizen passengers Masoume Mansouri Ahmad, 40, Majid Azat Jabat, 45, and Souyi Pasandite Javad, 22, were taken to Yeghegnadzor hospital. Doctors say they are in moderate condition. Iranian citizen  Sara Pasandite Javad, 20, as well as Amirhosein Azad and Fatime Mansouri Ahmad received medical treatment and were checked out of the hospital.

To note, those that died in the crash were daughter- and mother-in-law.

As reported earlier, Ministry of Emergency Situations of received a report Saturday at 7:33am. Accordingly, a road accident had occurred on the Vayk-Yeghegnadzor motorway nearby Malishka village, some people were stuck, and rescuers were needed. A rescue squad was dispatched to the scene.
