On December 1, the seventh Summit of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has started in Palace of Independence in Astana, NEWS.am correspondent reports from Astana.

Over 5,000 people, including 28 heads of states and 10 Heads of Governments have arrived in Astana to participate in the summit. Ministers from Australia, Algeria, Andorra, Egypt, Jordan, Canada, Norway, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Sweden and South Korea, as well as leaders and representatives of 33 international and regional organizations are taking part in the summit.

Over 1,200 reporters are covering the summit.

As NEWS.am reported previously, the delegation headed by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan arrived in Astana to participate in the 7th OSCE Summit. The delegation comprises Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, Ambassador-at-Large Arkadiy Ghukasyan and deputy head of presidential staff Vigen Sargsyan.

Armenian President will hold a number of meetings with high-ranking officials on the sidelines of the summit.

Reception in honor of the OSCE heads of states will be given in the evening on behalf of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The Karabakh conflict will be one of the issues discussed at the summit.
