David Harutyunyan, Head of the ad hoc parliamentary commission on the March 1-2 2008 events, is dissatisfied with his colleagues’ proposals and responses to the commission’s report.
The speakers did not make any proposals. Rather, they made political assessments. Harutyunyan pointed out that the MPs that had never attended the commission’s meetings were especially active at the discussions. “Nevertheless, we will continue our work and I urge my colleagues to take part in the monitoring. If we want results, we should not be content with political proposals alone. We have to work. We would then have a better election code and freedom of speech situation,” he said. He pointed out that the commission is ready to consider any reasonable proposals.
