One out of three Armenian quarterfinalists of the World Boxing Championship in Milan Andranik Hakobyan (75 kg) gained a convincing victory over Victor Cotiujanschi (Moldova) by the score 8:1. Hakobyan will fight against Alfonso Blanco (Venezuela) semifinal.
Armenian boxers Hovhannes Danielyan and Azat Hovhannisyan could not reach the semifinal. Danielyan (48 kg) was defeated by Mongolian Serdamba Purevdorju (4:6), Azat Hovhannisyan lost to Mexican Óscar Valdez (Mexico)-9:14.
