Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s speech in Moscow certainly had a new coloring. Interestingly, it made a reference to his Astana speech, MP from Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Vardan Bostanjyan told a press conference on December 11, commenting on Sargsyan’s statement on Karabakh recognition at the OSCE Summit in Astana.

“President’s Moscow speech placed a higher emphasis on the security institute than the previous time. About 40 documents were signed, which are desirable documents for CSTO member states, particularly for Armenia. Besides, Armenian President’s speech was conditioned by stances adopted by OSCE and CSTO,” Bostanjyan stressed.

“In case Azerbaijan launches new hostilities, Armenia will have no choice but to recognize independence of Nagorno-Karabakh de jure and ensure security of its population by all means possible,” Serzh Sargsyan said in his speech at the Dec. 10 meeting of CIS Heads of States in Moscow.
