On December 12, Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri arrived in Ankara for talks with his Turkish counterpart.

Khetaguri and Chairman of Georgian State Electric System (GSE) Company Sulkhan Zumburidze will meet Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz.

The officials will discuss the construction of 400500-kilovolt transmission line Akhaltsikhe-Borchha, which will connect the Georgian and Turkish energy systems. The sides will also discuss the terms of trade and export of electricity through electric power transmission.
