Armenian Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Arthur Petrosyan left for a 2-day official visit to Georgia at the invitation of his Georgian counterpart Vladimir Vardzelashvili.

Within the framework of the visit, the ministers signed a memorandum on development of cooperation in the sphere of sport and youth affairs between the two states. The sides expressed readiness to organize sports events to contribute to healthy living and activities, Georgian media reports.

The Armenian delegation visited a swimming centre and rugby field.

The sides also arranged for a return visit scheduled for 2011.
