Turkey is pleased with U.S. Congress as it failed to schedule vote on H. Res. 252, the Armenian Genocide Resolution on the agenda, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said.

The healthy judgment triumphed at U.S. Congress and the resolution damaging Turkey-U.S. relations was not placed on the congressional agenda, Davutoglu told the reporters in Istanbul, Turkish Hurriyet daily reports.

“Members of the House of Representatives tried to exert pressure on Turkey, which will be a wrong step,” Davutoglu said. He expressed hope the Armenian Resolution will not be put on the agenda any longer.

Before recessing for the holiday break, the U.S. House of Representatives adjourned vote on H.Res. 252.
