“Armenian authorities never deluded people into either Armenian-Turkish normalization or Karabakh conflict issues”, Press-Secretary of Republican Party of Armenia Edward Sharmazanov said, September 15, 2009. According to him, Armenia is perceived as a reliable partner by the world, and the proposals of the Armenian side were incorporated in the Madrid Principles.

“The Armenian authorities try to solve problems with credit. The documents do not contain any preconditions related to the Armenian Genocide and Karabakh”, Sharmazanov noted referring to the Armenian-Turkish Protocols. “The position of Republican party is clear. Preconditions are unacceptable for us. As for Karabkah issue, NKR cannot have a lower status than it has now”.
