EU is ready to start talks on relaxation of visa regime with Azerbaijan, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said at a press conference on Baku.

EU and Azerbaijan have many issues of common interest, including regional stability, energy security and many others, Barroso stressed.

European Commission President also noted that his visit to Baku is a clear evidence of EU’s commitment to development of partner relations with Azerbaijan.

Last May Azerbaijan and EU signed “Eastern Partnership” deal initiated by Poland and Sweden.
