RA National Assembly has postponed the discussion of final report by Parliamentary Ad-hoc Committee on March 1-2 events for several hours. Discussions were scheduled for 12 a.m. September 16, however “Heritage” faction MPs demanded to postpone the hearing of the document (145-page), as were short of time to look through the whole report.

The “Conclusions and Proposals” chapter of the report says if the ex-President Robert Kocharyan’s decree announcing the state emergency after the first gunshots, the further drastic consequences could be escaped. According to a number of esteems, the guilt of those killed March 1, 2008, the Ad-hoc Committee Chairman Samvel Nikoyan lays on Kocharyan only.

In March 1, 2008 early in the morning, the police used force toward the peaceful demonstrators on the Freedom Square. In the evening same day it used guns, as a result 10 people were killed, hundreds wounded. Parliamentary Ad-hoc Committee failed to ever solve the facts of the 10 killed.
