The monument to Armenia-Turkey friendship, branded as “monstrous” by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is protected by a law on intellectual property, Nouvelles dArménie reports referring to Turkish Hurriyet daily.
Under article 16, works of art cannot be changed without the artist’s official permission.
“The law on intellectual property says art works cannot be changed without the author’s permission,” said the sculptor of “Monument to Humanity” Mehmet Askol.
